United Women in Faith Lunch & Meeting

UWF will meet for lunch and for their meeting after the 11:00 am worship service on September 8th in the Fellowship Hall.  The speaker will be Jamie Middleton from Immerse Arkansas, a nonprofit group founded in 2010.  Immerse Arkansas was created to be a safe place for young people in the age range of 18-24 experiencing homelessness or other traumas.   She will tell us about the  $3 million youth shelter that was just completed at 3201 Mary St. in Little Rock which features 15 suites in the style of a college dorm room.  This is the first youth shelter in the state of Arkansas.  Other shelters in the state  are for adults.  If you plan to attend, please call the church office at 501-372-2256 or fill out the Journey Card in the church bulletin so enough food will be prepared. Everyone is invited to attend.
