Fruit Galette


For the crust:

1 1/4c AP flour

1 stick butter

     (or 2 Oz shortening, 2 Oz butter)

2 TBSP sugar

1/2 tsp salt

1/2c ice water

For the filling:

4 c fresh or frozen fruit

   (Berries, apples, any combinations)

3/4 c sugar

2 TBSP cornstarch

      (or flour or minute tapioca)


Fresh lemon juice, fruit liqueur

Turbinado sugar, egg for egg wash

Tools needed:


Measuring cups

Plastic wrap

Baking sheet with a rim, lined with parchment
