Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir of First United Methodist Church is so much more than just a group of people that get together and sing. While their primary responsibility is the preparation of anthems and leadership during hymns, they are also the primary leaders of the congregation’s worship participation. The Chancel Choir shows a visitor when to stand and when to sit, the Chancel Choir joyfully leads the people’s part in responsive readings, and the Chancel Choir also functions as a core small group of the church, praying for each other and lifting each other up as they grow spiritually.
