Rev. Brittany’s Role Expands to Serve The Arkansas Conference

Earlier this week, you may have seen an announcement from the Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church that Rev. Brittany Richardson Watson, our pastor to Kid, Youth, and Families, has also been appointed as Director of Age Level Ministries for the conference. This position helps the United Methodist churches in Arkansas minister to kids and youth through offering connection, encouragement, and resources. This is an exciting addition to Rev. Brittany’s ministry that will give her the chance to share the passion for ministry with children and youth that she has discovered at FUMCLR with United Methodists around Arkansas.

This will not drastically change her day-to-day responsibilities at FUMCLR. She will still be leading our ministries with kids and youth, as she also offers support and resources to their families. However, from time to time, her schedule in the office and on Sunday mornings may look a little different as she serves churches around the conference. The hope is that just as her work with the young people of our church has inspired her to take on this new challenge, her work with the conference will further enhance the ongoing ministries of FUMCLR. The Staff Parish Relations Committee is supportive and proud of Brittany’s expanding role. She will begin her ministry with the conference on August 24th. Please be in prayer for her during this time.
