A vibrant, historic Methodist church in downtown Little Rock.

Holy Week is one of the most meaningful weeks in the life of the church, and we invite you to walk through it with us at First United Methodist Church in downtown Little Rock, on the corner of 8th and Center. We begin on Palm Sunday, March 29, remembering Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem with the traditional waving of the palms in worship. Later that day, families are invited to gather for our Easter Egg Hunt at Burns Park, a fun way for children and families to celebrate together as we begin the week.

The week continues with Maundy Thursday on April 2, when we gather around the table to remember Jesus’ last supper with his disciples and share in Holy Communion together. On Good Friday, April 3, we pause in a quieter service of reflection as we remember the depth of Christ’s love and sacrifice.

Then on Easter Sunday, April 5, we gather in joyful celebration of the resurrection. Easter is always a special day in the life of the church as we proclaim the hope and promise of new life. We hope you’ll join us during this sacred week as we move together from palm branches to the joy of Easter morning.
