Saturday, March 30 from 5:00pm-7:00pm Have you ever experienced worship over a meal? The sharing of food can be more than simply eating together; the act of preparing food and eating in themselves are sacred acts, connected to God’s creation and our relationship to it, including one another. More and more faith communities are experimenting with worship at supper tables, including our own at FUMC. Holy Saturday, not often formally observed in the United Methodist tradition, is a time of lament and waiting. It is a time when we sit by Jesus’ tomb and when we recall the women who prepared spices and herbs for the Sabbath. This Holy Saturday, we will prepare and share a home-cooked meal together as we wait and reflect together. There will be a time for prayer, song, and table conversation.
