Color of Compromise Discussion Group
Share This:
First Church is renewing our commitment to dive into the hard conversations and work about race and justice. Our faith calls us to be “doers of the word” in those conversations. In The Color of Compromise video series, scholar Jemar Tisby explores how too often the Christian church in America has reinforced racial injustice and he outlines the bold action needed to create the “beloved community” God envisions. This series has a lot to teach us.
Each Sunday in August, at 10 a.m. we will have an online Sunday school class to engage in the holy work of hard conversations. During those sessions, we watch several episodes of The Color of Compromise and have discussion about what we can do individually and as a church to face our history and work for a better future. You don’t have to attend every session to participate. Register for this class by following this link. http://events.constantcontact.com/register/event?llr=gty6r9dab&oeidk=a07eh69gwij602e112e
