Club 56 - 5th and 6th Grades

A Sunday morning class just for preteens!  Packed with small group discussions, movie clips, and active Bible study opportunities, Tweens are offered weekly lessons that answer real-life questions, dig into the Bible, tackle issues they care about, plus they have their own safe and secure online community with each other and their FUMC teachers.  We want our preteens to solidly understand how God’s message applies to them as they leave childhood and enter middle school.

Tween Links

5th-6th graders are offered a chance annually to participate and covenant with a leadership development program which consists of attending training events, Bible study and fellowship, opportunities to serve both inside and outside the church, and preparation for youth leadership in the future.   Mentors from within the church are encouraged to volunteer to serve as LINK role models as our preteens explore new ways of being in Christian service in a variety of areas of church leadership.

Summer Camps

Vacation Bible School, Music Camp, Experiencing the Rock and Bio or Art Camp is held each year onsite and offsite and offers great summer fun while learning more about their community, the Bible and how to live like the hands and feet of Jesus.

Tween Connectional Ministry Events

The United Methodist Church is a connectional church so what better time to teach that connection than in childhood.  We want our children to understand they are part of a global church and while these events encourage a connection between local United Methodist Children, all children from the community are encouraged and invited to attend.

Merge

Quarterly MERGE events are held in partnership with other local United Methodist Churches and their 5th & 6th graders.  Tweens gather for food, fun, games, missions and experience new friends and the knowledge they are part of a global church family.

Parenting

Each year, an annual parenting event is offered in local church partnership addressing issues such as parenting, child internet safety, Holy Health, etc.
